Description
The main difference between this research paper and your reading response paper is that this one asks for
secondary sources. These secondary sources are to be peer reviewed articles, which you should be well familiar
with by now.
Your essay must, then, include the following:
A primary source (one of the readings from class it doesn t matter which one)
At least two and no more than four secondary sources. As noted, these sources are to be peer reviewed journal
articles.
There are many ways to go about writing this paper, but in terms of choosing your sources you ll likely want to
do one of two things:
Find sources that speak directly to your primary source (so, articles on James Baldwin, for example).
In order to write this paper the one thing you will want for sure is a research question: that is, the question that
your paper will be trying to answer and the one which your research will aid you in doing so
