court case – brainytermpapers

Instructions
Research a court case that exemplifies some type of bias. In 1,500 words or more, summarize the facts of the case, identify and describe the type of bias(es) that occurred, explain the implications of bias(es), and then thoroughly describe the consequences for the case due to the bias(es) you identified. Based on what you have learned in the first half of this class, provide comprehensive, substantive suggestions for how bias could and should have been avoided in this case.
You must do this in your own words. Some direct quotes are fine, but they should not represent the bulk of your work; their use should enhance and supplement your work.
You must consistently, appropriately, and properly cite your work and apply a consistent referencing style for this assignment. There is no preferred style, so the exact citation style you choose does not matter for the purpose of this assignment; however, whatever one you choose must be one of those discussed in class (AMA, APA, or Vancouver/NLM) and be consistently used throughout your work.
For an assignment of this size, you must use at least 3 outside, scholarly references (note: the core module is not an outside reference, so it doesn’t count toward this limit). Remember that those 3 required references must all be scholarly references (eg, journal, textbook). “Dot.com” sites, news sites, and other nonacademic sources do not count toward this limit, but you’re of course welcome to include them (they just don’t count toward your minimum required number). Do not use Wikipedia and similar sites in your referencing. You must substantiate all claims in your writing, just as would be required of you during any court testimony.
This assignment must be written in your own words and must include a reference list. It must be submitted as a Word or PDF document. If you submit an assignment outside of this format, you will be asked to resubmit your work.
